The original concept was drawn as a residential building which included a range of different-sized rooms and a sophisticated stairways system. Contrast between rigorous palace exterior and distinctively rugged arcade atrium with romanticizing details was characteristic for this spectacular construction. Mestsk dvur was considered to be one of the most luxurious and prestige addresses in Brno.
