The beautiful holiday home Buitengoed Fredeshiem is an estate of 14 acres, located in the middle of the forest and at1,5 km outside of the historical town of Steenwijk, between Meppel (20 km to the south) and Heerenveen (26 km to the north). The famous town of Giethoorn is located only a stone throw away. There are many attractions to visit in the surroundings of the park: the nature parks De Weerribben and Dwingelderveld, the village of Diever or just head off on nice biking or hiking trips into nature, starting at your front door. A nice day of shopping or cultural activities can be done in the nearby town of Zwolle. The zoo (Noorderdierenpark) of Emmen, the museum village Orvelte, the amusement park Slagharen and the indoor play centre Oranje are also to be found in the vicinity of your accommodation. But even the recreational possibilities in the park Buitengoed Fredeshiem are just as various as those in the surroundings: you can go for relaxing walks, ride a bike or pedal car, play boules and geo-coaching, go mountain biking, practice archery and table tennis. In high season in summer you have free access to the outdoor swimming pool of the camping next door(200 metres away). There is also a beautifully designed inspiration walking path on the estate. The holiday park is made up of 7 luxurious holiday home for 2 - 6 persons, each located on the edge of the forest or the meadows. The houses either dispose of a private infrared sauna for two or a second toilet. Upon request non-smoking homes are available.
