Casas del Monte is situated near the VÃa de la Plata (Silver Route) in Extremadura, in the province of Cáceres. The city of Plasencia is only 25 kilometers from picturesque Casas del Monte. The region is known for its excellent strawberries and cherries, but there are many other trees that you can find here. In this environment you can find plenty of activities like horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, quad riding, paintball, canoeing, climbing and abseiling. For the true nature lover, there are many birds in the area and the flora here is very unique. The apartments are beautifully situated at an altitude of approximately 750 meters so you have a wonderful view of the reservoirs of Gabriel and Galán (built during the time of Franco) from the various terraces. You can even see the Traslasierra Mountains and the high peak of El Camocho (1826m) from here. Furthermore, this is a great place to enjoy a beautiful sunset!
