Adjacent houses located in the rural town of Villaverde, less than 1 kilometer from a supermarket and several restaurants, at the foot of the impressive Arena Volcano, 12 kilometers of wild beaches of El Cotillo and 16 kilometers from the Dunes Natural Park Corralejo and its endless white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Corralejo, Fuerteventura's tourist capital, equipped with all services, is located just 13 kilometers, but we like more bohemian and surfer atmosphere in Lajares (5 km), the small fishing village El Cotillo and it's fantastic restaurants (12 kilometers) or the colonial charm of La Oliva (3 kilometers).
Fuerteventura is much more than sun and sand. Cultural, ethnological, natural, marine, landscape and geological values and the commitment of the Fuerteventura island with renewable energy, water management, or responsible fishing, have made Fuerteventura  and a good part of its seas, creditors of the title of Biosphere Reserve, a real appreciation for the work of its people.
The second largest of the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura has a surface area of 1660 square kilometers, and it has been declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 2009. The island is to be found in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Africa, and it is part of Spain, or more exactly of the province of Las Palmas.
Fuerteventura has a wonderful climate, and the longest beaches in the archipelago, a perfect destination for all those who love the sun, the sea, the beach, water sports and a whole load of other typical activities.
The temperatures here will not often fall under 18 °C or rise over 32 °C for that matter, and among the 152 beaches along the coastline of Fuerteventura you cannot but just allow your every sense to be wrapped in a complete feel of relaxation.
The highest point on Fuerteventura is Mount Jandia (807 m), which makes this island perfect for a day or so of hiking when you feel like you need a change of pace from sunbathing and the marine atmosphere.
