Over Four Seasons St Petersburg

Just two blocks from the Winter Palace and Hermitage Museum, the Lion Palace began life as the residence of Princess Lobanova-Rostovskaya in 1820. The entrance is flanked by twin lions, known to Russians for their appearance in Alexander Pushkin*s 1833 poem, The Bronze Horseman. Modern additions include a new fifth floor, and glass roofs added to two of the three courtyards to create a skylit spa and the year-round Winter Garden restaurant. Inside, the main stairway and entry hall have been meticulously restored to their original glory, while new interiors offer a fresh, contemporary interpretation of Russian palace style.
