Hotel Maksymilian has been established within one of the architectural monuments of Cracow, a listed building built in 1871 as one of he first tenements at Karmelicka Street. The building was designed by Maksymilian Nitsch, one of the most important architects living in 70s and 80s of XIX century and at first it served The Nitsch family with Maksymilians flat located on the first floor at the front of the building. Between 2008 and 2010 the building was completely transformed into a modern, charming city centre hotel. The back part in the backyard was built and the ground floor was extended. Also, the stylish front of the building was renovated while keeping the old shape, character and atmosphere of the architectural treasure.
