Over River Cottage,

River Cottage is located on thirty acres of land that borders the banks of the Finnehy River and Kenmare Bay. It was the original family home and was restored in 2008 with all original features such as fireplaces beams etc. being restored to create a lovely mix of the old and the new. Interior River Cottage is a luxury spacious house which is tastefully decorated and furnished, has a beautiful living room with fireplace which provides a cosy atmosphere. The living room leads to a stunning dining area overlooking Kenmare Bay and Caha mountains. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and has also seating accommodation. There are double French doors which lead to the patio with barbecue. There are three spacious bright bedrooms; two en-suite on first floor and one on ground floor with a full adjacent bathroom. All bathrooms have under floor heating. The beds are provided with outstanding bed linen. On first floor is a second seating area with patio doors and balcony overlooking the water and the beautiful Finnehy and Roughty river valleys. Environment The ideal location for nature lovers, for walking (Kerry Way and Beara Way are beautiful walking tours) fishing, cycling, horse riding etc. Only ten minutes walk into Kenmare, a bustling historical town with plenty shops, restaurants, pubs, galleries etc. For those interested there are two golf courses and for those like hiking there are five exhilarating hikes on the Wild Atlantic Way, enjoy here the beauty too. Kenmare is central for touring the Ring of Kerry, a 175 km. drive with its breathtaking scenery and known all around the world and the Ring of Beara, an unspoiled lesser known drive, its rugged beauty is beyond compare. At Kenmare Pier you find the Seafari who offers daily Eco-Nature and Seal watching cruises on the Kenmare River.
