You can find this tasteful holiday apartment, situated in a former monastery, by one of the most beautiful town canals in the historic town centre of Alkmaar. The well-known Waagplein, has a large choice in shopping and catering establishments, plus bicycle rental as well as boat and canoe rental: all within walking distance from your apartment. The artist village of Bergen is about four kilometres away and the beach of Egmond is about ten kilometres distance. Via a large wooden access door, you enter into the original monastery hall way…authentic tiles and stairs lead to the first floor, where you will find the entrance of your holiday apartment. The living room has large windows, so that you can fully enjoy the view out to the canal from the seating area. The kitchen diner is situated one floor up. Throughout the apartment you will be able to flash back to the original monastery because of the original details, such as atmospheric small windows at the indoor staircase. Yet another floor up are the bedrooms: a master bedroom with a double bed and another bedroom with two single beds (the latter has no door). The bathroom, with bath and toilet, is also on this floor. Via the bedroom with two single beds, you can gain access to the roof terrace. A wonderful place with a view to the rooftops of houses in the historic town centre!
