The newly renovated holiday apartment Bier is located in Hermeskeil. This quiet little village is situated in the Saar-Hunsrück nature park, where you can take wonderful walks. You will be staying at about 35 km to the southeast of the old Roman town of Trier and at 60 km to the north of Saarbrücken. Trier is the oldest town in Germany with impressive old buildings and is ideal for a day trip. The gem town of Idar-Oberstein is also only 55 km from your apartment where you can visit the largest diamond and gemstone fair in Germany or an old gem mine. From Hermeskeil, you can take a bike ride along the Ruwer bike path, which has been installed on a disused railway line and runs through a beautiful landscape to Trier without you being disturbed by motorized traffic. There is a bus service for cyclists that takes you back up to Hermeskeil from down in the Mosel valley. In Hermeskeil there is also an interesting aircraft museum, where you will even find a Concorde. Your accommodation is at just 300 meters from the village centre and 500 meters away there is a swimming paradise with slides, etc., great fun not only for kids. The apartment Bier is very quiet. You have a private entrance, and your terrace behind the house offers a beautiful view of the valleys. The owners live in the apartment above you.
