This village is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of the Harz Mountains, at about 14 km to the west of Quedlinburg, at 8 km to the northeast of Rappbode reservoir and at only 4 km from the picturesque town of Blankenburg, where you will find cosy restaurants and nice shops. The location is very convenient to take various excursions. For example, visit Quedlinburg, with its more than 1200 beautiful half-timbered houses. At 52 km from your holiday home, there is the lovely town of Goslar that is just like Quedlinburg a UNESCO World Heritage site. With a tourist card that you can buy at the tourist information centre in Blankenburg, you will get discounts at various facilities in the area, plus free use of public transport. For children there is also plenty to do. For instance, there is a climbing forest and in Thale there is an indoor play park (Spielhaus) where the children can play and romp about not only on rainy days. Your cottage is fully furnished and has recently been renovated. From your covered veranda you enjoy a beautiful view over a pot of land of 3.75 acres with a private pond where you can fish without a fishing license.
