Over Fuveau,

Nice, new house on a large area, 15 km southwest of Aix-en-Provence and about 30 km from the Mediterranean. The house (suitable for 4 adults and possibly with extra beds for child / baby) is spacious and light and has a beautiful large area of 5,000 m2 full of oaks, pines and olive trees and thyme, rosemary - and lavender. You can even pick vegetables in your own organic vegetable garden: tomatoes, zucchini, strawberries ... The owner lives in a house on the same property (his house is situated at the backside of this house). Here you find absolute tranquility amidst the aromas of the Midi. From the living room and open kitchen you have access to the large (on west facing) terrace of 40 m2 and the garden where you can enjoy the sunset! The bedrooms and the terrace on the second floor are located on the east, so the morning you can enjoy the coolness of the night. Finally there is the south is a large covered terrace of 60 m2, where you can lunch in the shade or play a game of table tennis. For families with small children who can't swim: know that there is a canal (Canal de Provence) not far from the house (although partially separated through a fence). The house is located 8 km outside the center of Fuveau, near the part Meyreuil Le Plan, in a hilly and wooded area. For shopping you can visit the section Meyreuil-Le Plan, ca 2, Meyreuil, about 4 km, or Fuveau itself, 8 km. Environment: Situated near both Aix en Provence and Gardanne, Meyreuil is a pretty Provencal village. At the same time however, it is home to a thermal station which has the highest chimmney in Europe, (300 metres) which unfortunately spoils the countryside.It is a shame because Meyreuil is surrounded by a charming natural environment and some historic treasures which are worth a detour and will soon make you forget that you are in an industrial zone. The road which leaves the N7 and which leads to Meyreuil is sublime. You will cross the Domaine de Montaiguet forest (1830 hectares). These delightful wooded valleys are situated only 5 minutes from the busy high-ways. You can also enjoyably spend some time in the Paul Arène park which is especially pleasant for family picnics. From Meyreuil you have an excellent view of Mount Sainte-Victoire. You can walk along the Arc river, but most importantly, don't miss the famous "pont des Trois Sautet" (1655) painted by Paul Cézanne. This is the same bridge which also inspired Winston Churchill. The bridge is today classified as an historic monument. Don't leave Meyreuil without having tasted La Palette wine. Although it is a small appellation, it has a top reputation!
