Adenau is a peaceful town with typical half-timbered houses, nice shops and restaurants in the heart of the Eifel. The Nürburgring, the number 1 of the motor race circuits in Europe, is located at just a few kilometres to the south of Adenau and is a nice destination for young and old. During a trip on the Volcano Express, which runs between Brohl and Engeln, you will travel back to ancient times. Don't forget to bring your camera! For lovers of wild nature and wild animals the Kasselburg Eagle and Wolf Park and the wildlife park in Daun are definitely worth a visit. For some action during your holidays, have a go on the summer toboggan run in Altenahr, at about 19 km from your holiday accommodation. But don't forget to include the Mosel Region in your trip planning. The charming town of Cochem, for example, is a remarkable destination. Or would you rather go mountain biking or head off on a hike? The forests around Adenau offer sufficient opportunities to do so. Behind the house you can walk directly into the forest, and there's even a nice route that virtually begins in your garden. Although you are staying in the middle of nature, you can reach the town centre within only a five minutes' walk.
